Central West Long Weekend

The P38 suspension has now been replaced with coils and the Rangie is looking for new adventures. Join the Limberts for some January long weekend fun.

We’ll base camp in Portland for the weekend and visit Nangar National Park and Canowindra as well as boating, swimming and fishing (if you like) on some of the many lakes in the Central West. Lake Lyell now has their Aqua Blitz inflatable playground operational and the kids may want to try this out as well.

Camp fire and camp oven cooking at night.

This trip is family and kid friendly but no dogs please.

Low range may be needed at Nangar but we could work around it if need be.

Traversing the very picturesque Yengo National Park, this trip will stop at two sites offering large numbers of aboriginal engravings together with outstanding views of the park and Mt. Yengo. We will also include a brief stop at the Bucketty Wall Precinct (a well preserved section of the convict built Great North Road).  The road is well formed but quite “undulating” so average speeds will be low.  Starting from St. Albans at 9 a.m., we should finish on the Putty Road (about 115 km north of Windsor) around mid-afternoon.
